Useful details to include
- Your phone model and Android version.
- The Fieldmap version you’re using.
- What you were doing and what happened.
- The file format, if the issue involves importing or sharing.
Only include the information needed for your request. Avoid sending private maps, photographs or location history unless necessary.
Good places to start.
My GPS position doesn’t appear.
Check that location is enabled and Fieldmap has location permission, then try Locate. Positioning depends on the phone and reception. A PDF also needs georeferencing or calibration to place your location on it.
Sharing only pins says the map is missing.
Both phones need the identical saved base map, even if the filenames differ. Use a full-map package when the receiving phone doesn’t have that map. Layer-only sharing requires Fieldmap 1.46 or later on both phones.
How do I stop background recording?
Use Stop in the app or its recording notification. Background recording is a choice you make when starting a route; the app does not automatically start recording at boot.
Can I switch the interface language?
Open the top-left menu, choose Settings, then Language. English, Russian, French, Ukrainian and Spanish are available in the app.
Where can I download Fieldmap?
The first Google Play release is in preparation. A public store link will be added to this website when it is available.
